I Don't Have to Move to Canada After All!

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I can't stop smiling. My cheeks hurt, I'm smiling so much!

I was so afraid this day would end so much differently. We all know how the elections have gone in the past - GOP. But this!

Oh! I don't have the words! I have hope again!

To quote some dear friends:

"Woooohooooooooo!"

I will unashamedly admit that during Obama's speech, I had tears flowing freely down my face. It was almost like a religious experience: not only did I WANT to believe him, I actually DID.

I've never felt this way about politics--or a president--in my life.

Same here. This is the first time in my life I've felt so strongly about a candidate, gave a crap who won (other than that I prefered the Dem candidate over the GOP). Hell, it's the first time I've ever cried joyously over who won the Presidential election.

I'm still absorbing it all.

Yup, here too. Too many on The Right chided us for daring to have "hope." Now we see what hope really CAN accomplish.

Time to get to work!

Would you believe that this is the first time in YEARS that I actually voted for a winner? I am so excited! I just hope, yeah, that's it, I just hope.
