Here's the comics I was talking about in e-mails to some of you. There are two that appeared two Sundays ago that made me think of some of my fellow bloggers.
This one made me think of Everett: The Mr. Peabody part is what made me think of him, not the whole "crankshaft" thing. LOL!
This one made me think of Becca, just back from her vacation. It also made me think of vacations!
I can tell poor Sally Forth why not--the way those cars are packed in that rush hour traffic, it would be October before they could turn around! Love you, and thanks for posting the comics.
Your welcome. I saw on the news where oil prices are going up even higher thanks to a refinery shut down in Alaska. I think I'm going to bring my bike up from Dad's house and start riding my bike to and from work. (seriously, I am. Just waiting for it to cool down some first. I'm thinking around the first of october or so)
jenn, biking is awesome. i know how unpleasant it must be in san antonio heat, but i have been biking to and from campus in the 6 years since we moved to madison, no matter what the weather (well, as long as it's not lightning or below zero). daniel's not quite old enough for the bike trailer yet (babies have to be a year old to ride in one), and i really miss it!
I have to wait until it cools off, though. It's one thing to bike to campus and be all sweaty sitting in class... It's quite another to do it for work. They might frown on it a bit here! LOL! But once it cools off some, I'll do it. I thought about getting one of those tandem bike thingies so when I pick Jamie up from school he can ride with me, but that might be too far. I'm afraid someone might hit us! So I'll probably bike in the morning, then bike home at lunch to get my car. I go home every day anyway to walk the dog.
How I'm feeling seems to vary with the hour. I was feeling pretty good after scarfing down some "chicken doodle" soup (that's what Jamie calls it) at lunch, but now I'm starting to feel icky again. I just want it to be over with! Thanks for asking, though!

Thanks for throwing Peabody up there.
Okay, I'll cancel the APB. Everett is obviously still alive, as evidenced above. LOL!
