Biting the Bullet

I don't know about you all, but I'm thinking it would be wise, when one is already sick, to abstain from playing in chilly sea water. (However, no one ever said I was wise!) I had a tiny sinus infection and a messed up voice at the beginning of my vacation time last week. Now, I have a slightly less-messed up voice and a massive sinus infection. The voice, while not as bad as it was, is still kinda screwy; and the sinus infection has taken over my whole head. So, having been ordered to go to the doctor by my boss, I'm going today at 4:00. On the bright side, I get to leave work early. On the bad side, I have to go to the doctor to do it. I despise going to the doctor! But it will be worth it, I'm sure, to get rid of the funky voice, the awful headaches and pressure, and the other icky accoutrements that go along with a sinus infection. Of course, I wouldn't be going if it weren't for the fact that my boss is making me go.

On second thought, I'll be going to the doctor tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. They stopped taking walk-ins at 4:30. I didn't get there in time.

I have the "triple-threat" of illnesses: sinus infection, bronchitis, laryngitis. Ugh!

is this the boss with the rat tail?

at least you have a voice on your blog!

i feel lucky not to have a sinus infection, but this cold/flu thing really knocked me down until today. hope you're feeling better soon!

No, rat-tail boy doesn't give a flip about my health or well-being. My main boss is the one who made me go to the doctor. And I have a voice now, it's just squeaky and more husky than it usually is. Even my singing voice (when I can get it out) is much huskier than normal. Oh, well, c'est la vie!

I'm sorry the cold/flu knocked you on your tookus. Glad you're feeling better, though!

But, Jenn, salt water is good for clearing out your head! Too bad you didn't swim a little longer! Love you, and hope you feel better soon.
