Were you really born in Defiance, OH? I read a book called "The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio" that was really good. It's a memoir about a woman with gobs of kids and a drunk, abusive husband. She kept their family going by winning writing contests while her husband squandered all his earnings on whiskey. Good book.

Yes, I truly was born "in defiance".... er, "in Defiance, Ohio". My mother used to swear she should have gone on to the hospital in the next town, maybe it would have improved my disposition. :-)
