Eye Candy Friday

Being the scatterbrain that I am here lately, I couldn’t find my camera for Jamie’s birthday party. So, sorry, no pics of them bouncing in the bounce house, nor of them demolishing the piñata. However, Julie D., mother of Jamie’s friend Spencer and all-around SuperMom, brought her camera, in addition to baking this awesome cake. Jamie LOVES Mars Mission Legos. So she made this cake, crafting it to look kinda like Mars. Then they assembled and placed his Lego presents on the cake as the cake toppers. Pretty cool, no?

Just wait until I post some pictures of tomorrow. He's going to a violin concert tomorrow night with his BB Bill to see Joshua Bell (violinist featured on "The Red Violin" soundtrack, among other works) in concert with the San Antonio symphony. He'll be wearing slacks, dress shirt and a TIE! I'll probably cry when I see how grown up he looks!

Wow! Joshua Bell!! He's really great (and I loved that movie "The Red Violin") That's awesome. I'm glad he has that opportunity.
It hurts to see them grow up, but at the same time, it's exciting. Huh.

That cake looks awesome.

Jamie is a lovely boy. I have no trouble visualizing him in a violin section.

I'm really glad to hear things are going better. Still thinking of you guys.
