We love spinach in our house!

Lydia, does calling the baby "me, jr" mean you're naming her Lydia?

Talking about food is cool. Last night we had Vacation Bible School--not for supper--and I ate two small cups of chex mix and drank two or three glasses of red koolaid, oh and I also had some cheese. I think I win for best meal award. Geron and I have just realized we're going to have to cut WAY back on eating out starting now, but especially when me,jr. gets here. I don't know what we'll eat then. Maybe I'll start a new blog about food.Lydiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03096390195071934630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23166489.post-1151087609707509472006-06-23T13:33:00.000-05:002006-06-23T13:33:00.000-05:00i'm glad you're putting so much of yourself into r...i'm glad you're putting so much of yourself into raising Jamie. he deserves it. he's got a good mama.

last night we had spinach fry and rice. we've been eating a lot of dal (lentils) lately, because we bought a lot of it. we might have five different kinds. i'd like to cook some more of it, just so we'll have more room in our pantry. and wednesday night, we ran out of onions, and i had a hard time finding something to cook yesterday that involved no onions, no meat, and no pasta (which daniel hates...we don't have any anyway). so spinach fry it was, and it was good.annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13621915642420308973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23166489.post-1151085827475895582006-06-23T13:03:00.000-05:002006-06-23T13:03:00.000-05:00"Because I said so" never worked with him. I usually cook every night after getting home, but every few weeks or so, I go on strike for a few days. : )

I think the psychologist has some really good advice for you. Jamie's getting to the age where "Because I said so." isn't going to work (if it ever really does), so showing him choices and consequences is a very good approach. I wish you well.Beccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01573195570934029465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23166489.post-1151076488473120342006-06-23T10:28:00.000-05:002006-06-23T10:28:00.000-05:00Well, at least somebody still thinks about me [sni...Well, at least somebody still thinks about me [sniff, sniff, snuffle}.... LOL!

That dinner sounds really good! We eat a lot of chicken in my house. Dad goes to all these discounted and free food banks (since he's in his 70's, he gets to do that). But you can't choose what you get, so a LOT of it is stuff Dad doesn't like - like chicken nuggets, chicken fingers, canned chicken, etc. But sometimes I think he just says he doesn't like them because he knows I could use them. Even though he's retired, he still makes more than I do. But, he put in 20 years in the military, plus worked for about 20 years after, so he earned it.

Love you all!Jenn-Jenn, the Mother Henhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01850119465505660438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23166489.post-1151072282708509122006-06-23T09:18:00.000-05:002006-06-23T09:18:00.000-05:00I am reading your blog. We had a good dinner last night, too--baked chicken with barbecue sauce, rice, squash medley, and rainbow salad.

I'm thinking the doctor gave you some good advice. I guess you saw Ann's post/comment about making choices. I think that is a great idea.
